1. Do you have an exercise regime?
Yes. Before corona it was pretty chaotic, I just used to cycle around, a friend dragged me to the gym now and then, and I went for a run sometimes and played soccer. But now I have a very regular routine: I go for a run 3 days a week and for walks on the other days. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Fortunately not 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Probably 1.5 year ago for the sudden eczema I had then 4. Ever been hospitalised? What qualifies as hospitalised? I've never had an overnight stay or anything, but I've been in the hospital twice: once to have my tonsils removed and another time to have an operation because my sinuses were obstructed (I had a case of pretty severe sinusitis). 5. What's your alcohol intake like? I only drink socially and even then i drink very little (sometimes I don't drink at all and just have water instead) so it used to be two/three pints a week on average I guess, and since social things got cancelled I don't drink at all. What I drink depends; in a pub usually beer or cider, when having dinner with people it's wine, but I like whiskey best 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. I salt my food too heavily

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
I just exercise every day. Walking/hiking, jumproping, bodweight exercises (pushups, core, squats, etc), and a bit of dumbells, alternating day to day between exercises. Haven't been on one of my day long hikes since covid started since every place is flooded with dip****s. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Nah, but looking at my family history full of heart disease on one side and morbid obesity on the other has made me more health-conscious. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Took a (negative) drive thru COVID test in November, otherwise I think I had a really bad cough in early 2019. 4. Ever been hospitalised? As a kid I had what I think was a 106F/41C degree fever. They put icepacks all over me and gave me speed. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? Used to be every day but now it's just a beer with dinner every week or so. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Read comment sections and things that I know will piss me off. I'll also never give up cheesy food.

FYI: "Hospitalised", in this instance, means you had to either be taken to hospital or were admitted when you went; either way, it involves having had to stay, in a ward - not the ER/A&E - for at least a few days.

They're actually very good, like every week. Thanks for taking the trouble...
1. Do you have an exercise regime? I do, I work out probably 5-6 days a week, in the gym. Have been going for many a year, but I only started noticing some improvement recently when I switched to hitting every body part (chest, back, legs) twice per week. My diet is still insufficient but I draw the line at eating half a kilo of chicken every day. But I'm ok with where I am right now, quite close to where I'd like to get as far as results go. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Ermm...actually, it's not serious, even though it has caused a deep anxiety for a number of years, I have PVCs (Premature ventricular contractions) or a "skipping heart", which started some 15 years ago and has steadily progressed. Over the years I've learned that it depends on what I eat or how stressed I am (last year it got quite bad because I think I was overdosing myself with protein? My theory anyway, difficult to tell but I cut back and it has gone done significantly). Anyway, that made me quit smoking some 7 years ago. Apart from that, fit as a fiddle! 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Not counting the gazillion covid tests I did in January, I think it was in December, I had some sort of canker sores at the back of my throat? which I wouldn't have gone for but it kept happening for a month or so and since it's the throat, y'know. Turns out it was just an acid reaction (eat a lot of citric fruit at all hours). I go to the doctor quite frequently, which is unfathomable to the rest of my family. If I have the least bit wrong with me I go, screw waiting, that's what they're there for. Plus I have great insurance so why not? 4. Ever been hospitalised? Apart from the tonsils being taken out, just had one other "minor" surgery...khm...better not say what it was about. Nothing very serious tho. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? When I'm alone, like now, zero. When I'm with my partner, we split a beer before dinner. And of course if we go out or meet friends for dinner I drink, that happens maybe once per month. Not a big fan of alcohol. I can drink wine but my preferred choice is a good cocktail. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Well I've cut out beef almost completely, but I just can't quit pork. I love spanish jamon too much, and various other products (chorizo, guanciale etc). Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine are rather heavy on pork and I love both so...whattayougonnado?

1. When was the last time you were genuinely frightened?
Accidentally turning onto a 1-way street... the wrong way... 2. Without condoning it, which war/conflict/battle interests you most? I was pretty interested in the Syrian Civil War for a long period of time. It's genuinely interesting to me how many different factions, and countries were involved in it. 3. Which musician we lost (recent or not) do you miss most? David Berman. I haven't been able to listen to any Silver Jews or Purple Mountains without feeling like I was going to well up and cry. 4. What instrument seems the saddest to you? Anything that has a glassy sound. 5. Truthfully, how do you think you would hold up under torture? Not well. 6. Who is your favourite (!) serial killer? What's with all of these dark questions? |

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
No, but it would probably be good for me to have one. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? I've had some pretty good scares, but I've done nothing to change. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? It's been a couple of years actually. Haven't had too much money to spend on appointments, and my insurance isn't great. 4. Ever been hospitalised? Yeah, for both mental and physical reasons. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? It varies, some weeks I don't have any, but some weeks I'll have a beer or two every day. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Eating fast food and drinking. I'm an American, and I want to die like one. |

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
90 minutes to 2 hours per day, seven days a week. Usually half cardio and half weight training. When the weather's good I also add walking, hiking, swimming or kayaking to my daily routine. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Thankfully, no. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? 15 years ago for a routine physical checkup. 4. Ever been hospitalised? Once for minor surgery when I was a kid. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? These days I typically have 1 or 2 beers in the evening most evenings. I rarely get drunk anymore but I used to be quite a party animal in my 20's & 30's. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Nothing unhealthy anymore but I used to ingest all kinds of unhealthy things when I was younger. |

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
I lift weights five/six times a week depending on how the week works out (its an 8 day routine). 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Not yet 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? A while ago. 4. Ever been hospitalised? Few times, had four surgeries and been A&E a couple of times. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? None. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Vaping, I take care of myself in every other way, no drugs or alcohol, very little sugar and I don't drink soft drinks. But I love nicotine and I don't think I will stop. Nothing wrong with the questions Trolls. |
