The Decline of Western Civilization
After reading the book "America Alone" and its constant assertion that the west will not be defeated by hijacked planes and suicide bombings but attrition and kowtowing, I can't help but look at this headline and pray for a new wave of imperialism...
The Hindu News Update Service I'm looking for what people think about this, even if its the flippant "who cares." Does soemthing like this give you concern that we're ten years off from a decline in civil rights?

Western civilisation rationalises it's own uncivilised behaviour, packaged for acceptability, for mass consumption.
There is no decline of western civilisation...it's just becoming more transparent. |

I don't see it happening , nobody really takes the Archbishop of Canterbury seriously.
He's just some aging hippy that got lucky.

That made me laugh , what makes them think they can sell out some arena in LA or China with Wigan vs Middlesboro when they can't even sell out in Wigan or Middlesboro.

To be fair, nothing sells out in LA unless its vapid and hollow. I lean on a statement I read in the paper this past summer that said soemthing like this: (on the lament of the city hanging on the win or loss of our baseball team)
You know what, its boston lady and people care quite a bit about the red sox here, so if you don't like it, go back to LA where no one cares about anything. Best of Luck in China.
