That's weird that you would have found something supporting your argument on Obama's website. Politician's websites are usually the most slanderous of their own underhandedness.
Yeah there's something supporting it on his site because he isn't going to use them to work with his campaign. He was using them in help passing a bill (an issue that has nothing to do with his presidency.) I doubt Obama is as blind as Hillary anyway to think that lobbyists represent the working class of America, Hillary's been accepting money from them that article just says Obama's been dealing with them.

You do realize, the winner from each party of these nominations will eventually battle each other in this big showdown called the *2008 presidential election* don't you? Let me put it in the form of a question. Would you vote for McCain over Clinton, if McCain won R's and Clinton won D's?
No and I never said I would either. I said out of the republicans I'd pick him.

Quote:
From my understanding, he dropped out of the race for nomination of electorate under the 2 major parties. He can still run as an independent. Even I can run.
He could but I doubt he will.

Quote:
She does. I'm aware that she appears as being fake sometimes, but you can't run a campaign by just stating facts. You have to glitz it up a bit, and do all kinds of fancy photo-ops. Al Gore found that out the hard way.
Can you please tell me how she has their interests at heart? I'm dying to hear this one because I've seen her as nothing more than a corporate whore.

Her opinion on it changed the day that she found out, it was going to be a full-blown war. Like I stated earlier, she didn't know at the time that what she was voting on was the war. She only voted for the troops to go over and look for the WMD's. It's not the same thing as the war. Bush basically took that initial go-ahead, and then made it troop surge after troop surge until he made it the situation it is today. That's why everyone was so mad about the war, remember? Bush said we were going to look for WMD's, and then it turned out he had a different agenda altogether-to get the man who tried to murder his dad (Sadam) and now that we've got him, we continues to compound his mistakes by trying to make it look like he wasn't lying.
You're aware she still helped fund the war after that right?

Quote:
I pre-emptively made that comment in the previous post and responded to it, just so I wouldn't have to deal with it later. I already said, the 2 parties are the same, and if you already know that I think Obama and Clinton are the best candidates (I've already stated this many times, and I did so on the merit of their political ideas), then why should it matter to you that I think it's a plus that one is a minority, and one is a woman. It shouldn't
Because you keep going on about being anti-sexist and how we should elect her to get rid of sexism, you never said "Hey good thing ones a minority and one's a woman" until now. Besides if Hillary messes up all that's going to happen is its going to set woman in politics back 20 years, so it's not as great as you seem to think it is.

Quote:
My thinking is more down the line, where Hilary is going to get voted against in the actual presidential election by people who swear (it's not just because she's a woman, it's her, see the T.V. agh! She made an evil face!) I'm worried that all this B.S. propaganda is going to cost her the presidency, and it saddens me that some people won't even vote for her, because of such specious reasoning.
It's obviously not affecting her much right now.

What the.......? A lobbyist is a lawyer who works for a huge corporation. Lobbyists have meetings with politicians, and persuade the politician to make laws that will greatly, greatly enhance their company's profit (usually in excess of millions of dollars annually). You seem to have confused lobbyist money with campaign donation money. There's nothing illegal or even immoral about accepting campaign donations.

Yes, but most people don't vote for a republican and a democrat in the primaries. They pick the one candidate they want to win. I'm not even sure if it's legal to vote 2 candidates in the primaries.

As Senator of New York, she had the people's interest at heart. She outlawed trans fat, this stuff that tastes good, but is extremely bad for you. It wasn't a very popular decision, but it was the right one. So even though she can be unpopular at times, she still cares about people.

I'll have to look into that. It may be true. I don't know.
edit: I just googled Hillary funded war, and the only info. I got was saying that Hillary voted against funding the war. Perhaps you could provide with me a link to your information.

Ditto for Obama. And, you claim we shouldn't vote her in just because she's a woman. Well, if things go wrong under her presidency, it shouldn't be blamed on the fact that she's a woman. If it was, that would be the stupid American public's fault, not mine.

Like I said above, I'm not sure you can even vote for each party, so if that's the case, the people who really despise her most (Republicans) will really turn out the vote against her, come presidency time, at a time when Republicans voting outside their party is as likely as it has ever been right now.

I'm aware what a lobbyist is...and yeah I'm sure they just give her the money and they have no barring on whether or not she'll want to pass a certain law to help them.

I know that, this isn't voting though is it? It's a forum I was just stating who I'd pick out of the republican candidates.

Funny I didn't think she was the driving force behind the health board of new york, shows how much I know.

Reconstruction funding. The members of the group would hold themselves and other countries to their past pledges to provide funding to Iraq and will encourage additional contributions to meet Iraq's extensive needs.

Yeah we shouldn't vote for someone just because they're black or a woman.

I never said you could vote for both parties stop trying to put words in my mouth.

Are you being sarcastic here.......? I can't really tell. It's not really accurate. The lobbyist would naturally wait for a law to be passed before they would give the candidate any money. Or they do a half up front/half later type deal. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I'm sure whatever money she accepts money from lobbyists is no different from the way Obama, McCain, or Huckabee do it. You're singling her out for some reason.

That's understandable; I don't see any harm in being realistic, and looking ahead at some of the unwelcome possibilities.

I'm pretty sure she was the driving force behind that law. I'll have to look it up now.

Your title heading says it all. Reconstruction funding. Not war funding. Reconstruction funding. Everything on that page preceding that excerpt, outlined Hillary's plans for ending the war, and it clearly says after we bring the troops home, we plan on sending money to Iraq for 'reconstruction' *cough, cough*. Giving money to their government would be good, imagine it was upwards of $1 billion annually. That's still a lot better than the 10's of billions of dollars we're spending over there on the war right now. And the money would actually be going to a worthwhile cause.

Basically, all the candidates are the same. Really, the one defining, outstanding characteristic is that the Democrats want to end the war. Individual states are the ones who have power over laws like abortion and gun laws, so the only other really big issues on which they might differentiate would be immigration, and economy It is believed that the current administration has already set forth plans for a 150 ft. wide, 2,000 mile long, 40 ft. tall wall, along the U.S. Mexico border, to be finished by 2025. We all know the economy is a big concern, so obviously the Democrats would be a better choice in my mind, without those 10's of billions of dollars going overseas, to stay here, and help with health care, and such. These are some other reasons I would want to vote Democrat, other than being black, or a woman.

Clinton is the only candidate accepting money from lobbyists for her campaign, stop making things up.

It was the health board that spearheaded the law, not the senate.

This statement seems to suggest that she's already in talks with lobbyists, and the lobbyists are just nonsensically throwing money her way, on the grounds of hoping she will be elected, so it won't all be for nought. I can only hope that is true, if so it deems very well for the prospects of my candidate.

Woops, I thought it was a state-wide thing. Turns out it was just NYC. Still, a pretty good law, though, you have to admit. I'll find some other good stuff Hillary has done, to throw all the doubters' ways.
