I still think it looks great, though I do agree that the line art had a certain special spark to it. I think the issue might simply be the very fact that the charcoal was built on line art. In my experience charcoal works best when it's not based on lines but rather on light and dark shapes. Regardless, you're clearly very good with both mediums. I'd love to see more.

We had to do texture, and there was a neat picture I saw on Designspiration that I felt fit nicely, so I went with it. I believe this was my third, maybe fourth real drawing. Tribute to Amesoeurs. <3 This was my second time working with charcoal. I thought it would work nicely, since there was so much atmosphere. |
