I gotta be honest and say I don't really like Stone Bird's work either.
I can appreciate most forms of art but I don't really dig color field art. There are exceptions, Hans Hoffman has some really interesting stuff, because his work at least has some real contrast and interplay with colors. I'm not really getting that here. It reminds me of a paper towel soaking up a cat urine stain. Sorry. |

The thing is, when you talk about abstract painting, you talk about a "concept", and not "oh, this looks pretty/interesting".

That's my problem, like I have said over a billion times, art (weither that be visual art or music) is a purely aesthetic thing for me.
I especially hate art that doesn't value the aesthetic at all, only the "meaning". This is why I hate conceptual art. |
