No idea when he'll be back to respond to that, but I'll just say that Poor Old Po is damn good at art.

Thank you Frownland :) Sorry i have been away for so long, I have been kind of getting suspicious of the internet the last few years, or wary of it. I will pop back here more often i promise.

Ok, so that's one month ago but I just have to say: That is absolutely amazing! I ****ing love it! Seriously! It is otherworldly. Very imaginative. Something about the colours, the composition, the textures... I want this thing on my living room wall.

A very small part of something I am working on. An album cover for some lads I know! I have spent so long working on this. There are three pieces I have done. For the inside and lyric booklet and stuff.

Po your work is amazing, really imaginative stuff. (Glad to see ya around again.)

Is there supposed to be an image there? I can't see anything in my browser, but the reply/quote text suggests there was supposed to be an image post.

I really like both of them. The colours and the texturing you do is fantastic. I especially like what you're doing around the eyes on the portrait.

Something I love in particular about the other painting is about the mix of motif and composition. There's something very dream like about it. And I don't mean that in the sort of vague way people use it to describe something weird. I mean to say that it actually very much has a similar slightly unreal sense of place to it that I often see in my dreams. That thing where environments seem slightly differently laid out - in whatever way - than they would be in reality. It's uhh... hard to explain, but it really speaks to me. Somehow the combo of the marble railing (correct translation?), the simple shapes of the house to the right and that huge, starry sky that dominates all of the background really makes it feel unreal and dreamlike in particular.

That it is based on faint memories like that only enhances the dream like quality of it, so I like that :)

I really like the two you posted above with the creatures in the woods too. They have a very norwegian folk-lore sort of feel to them.

That would be interesting. This thread could use a bit more action :)

heres one i did called "fireworks".
bought an old painting, painted over it,
then used the frame too.
i actually wrote a whole story about that yellow
paint i used in this painting also lol.

Did you use acrylic to paint this?

Just curious, also it looks pretty cool!

Thanks a lot. I remember really liking how the different types of paint mixed together. Rustoleum yellow paint in a small can that was a high gloss paint and heavy body acrylics :drummer:

No problem!

And those two paints mixed together are weird and cool.

I've got the drawing skills of a 12 year old, but I still enjoy drawing illustrations for the games I make. These are for a somewhat Magic The Gathering esque game I'm messing around with now. I just cut out the rest of each card, zooming in on the illustrations, since the cards are in Danish and no one cares about nerdy crap like that anyway :p:

just thought of an idea to pick the colors in MS paint

Hey dude thanks! I am not sure what it is really. She drew a small thing on an empty canvas, so i poured transparent yellow ink over it and built her portrait around it. It ended up being in her hair. Its actually green now, but you can see the drawings she did through the colour.
