made this today... it started as an experiment to see how that radial grid works, but then turned into this. normally when i create something i make sure i don't f*ck it up so i can sell it, but there's a blot in the middle of this (in what's called a "toroid") so it's junk. threw it up on instagram and some lady with real nice teeth in cali was all about it, so i'm sending it to her tomorrow for free.

edit: i don't know why that is so big... i guess it's the standard for iphone shots. anyway. the original is about 8x8". ps... if anyone wants a mandala designed for a tattoo or an album cover or whatever, i'm yer dude.

Plankton 01-18-2013 08:41 AM

^^Thats pretty groovy. I like the sense of twisted perspective. Too bad there isn't a real world photoshop application so you could fix the blot.

thanks man... i'm really not too concerned about it. it gave me an idea for something i can take a little more seriously and a pretty girl in california wants it... so it's win/win. the spirals surrounding the the circle are also very silly and something i wouldn't do if i was taking my time on something i cared about... it's just a doodle.

PoorOldPo 01-21-2013 12:50 PM

My art is now on the Wiki pages of their subjects!

Children of the Forest - A Wiki of Ice and Fire

I don't know man, I actually was really glad when I saw that blot. I like it that way.

I agree adds a human touch to its almost graph-like feel. Lots of detail I can certainly appreciate the time and effort put into something like that.

Etsy - Your place to buy and sell all things handmade, vintage, and supplies

it's like ebay for artists... and people who wanna buy their art. it's pretty interactive. the more you look at it like a social media site the more attention you will get.

FETCHER. 01-29-2013 05:10 PM

I LOVE etsy, I bought an owl (supposed to be hedwig) pocket watch from there. I got something else that was amazing but I can't remember :(.

PoorOldPo 02-12-2013 09:39 AM

Yes, that is quite dreary.

My favorite of your pieces so far. If it's available when I get some more disposable money, I'll buy it.

Its waiting in my room for you man, thanks. :P

Its quite large, just to warn you.

If you just want a print, I can make one of those for you, if you don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money.

I will be sending a print to Big as well, he's in America, so I need to sort out pay pal.

The bigger the better and I do want to spend a ridiculous amount of money for the original. If it's canvas on a stretcher then probably the most viable option would be to remove the canvas, roll it up and airfreight it, then I'll get it re-stretched here. But that won't be an option for quite a while.

In the meantime though, PM me about a print whenever you figure out the details.

Been so bored lately. Drew this, traced it, colored it in, took a ****ty picture of it, loaded it into photoshop, traced it again, colored it again, and put a weird background in.

When I first posted in this thread I didn't realize it was for original works of art, my bad.

Is Digital Art acceptable?
