When you read about the Bauhaus art movement of the 1920s and 30s,
like a lot of historical events, you hear about the men associated with it - Kandinsky, Klee, Moholy-Nagy, etc. - while rarely hearing about the women. I came across this photo with the unfortunate title “Marcel Breuer and His Harem” and couldn't help but think of the Bush Tetras. Gotta ask: which looks more "no-wave"? There's a 55-year difference between these photos. https://i.imgur.com/EjWvT8D.jpg https://i.imgur.com/gB3ToGr.png |
The third girl from the left in the top photo looks like a more punky Elizabeth Fraser

Oh yes that's true

This isn't my art, but one of my number one inspirations. Takato Yamamoto. Blends beauty with the grotesque SO seamlessly, and without being loud about it.

I need to get better markers because I only have primary colors right now, and it completely stripped away a lot of the detail work I had here. You can't even see it. Surprisingly though this is the one piece on my Redbubble store that has ever made a sale lol. I disagree and think I have much better artwork. https://i.ibb.co/CVJwdZp/IMG-20220301-0009.jpg |
I think you did a great job attempting that style. A lot of times it's the tools used that help create the finished result. I wouldn't attempt playing Vai without a good tremolo kinda thing.

True words. Definitely saw a difference when I switched from ballpoint pens to microns too. And when you see improvement, it drives even further improvement.

Cheers to that
