I can't put my finger on why I've never been huge on Ernst though. Something about his colour choice or the way he does detail I think. Dali's more flamboyant approach is more my speed.

This is NOT my best work but its better than the crazy stuff I painted on it first. So I painted the whole thing yellow and did Metatron's cube over it. It was almost 5 years in the making for this though. Used fancy yellow and black paint, paint markers, plus weak white and red paint. That other painting on the ground I did years ago but its a Steve Jobs quote. I have a dream of painting a bunch more on canvas and selling on my website but just havent yet. The process:

12" dia circle
Array middle circles
Array outer circles
Pline to outer circle centers
Offset to outer circles tangent
Create lines in middle circles using centerpoints/rotate
Export linework to PDF
Bring PDF into Photoshop for color matching
Export to PNG
Post it up here
