Recent creation:

  • It consists of two pieces, the white-paper front & the black-paper backing.
  • The white lettering was done with a Wite-Out pen because I didn't have any white-ink pens lying around; the thickness of the Wite-Out limited the space in that regard.
  • After scanning, I imported the jpeg into Excel, cropped it, added the black border, and then transferred that to Paint to finalize the image.
  • It took me about 20 to 45 minutes to draw it, and the cutting and final preparation took longer than that.
  • Because it is two pieces, I can switch out the black back to change the lettering in order to create an entirely different meaning.

Very nice, but Excel??? That's like using ProE to draw stick figures. I can understand that you're probably just used to some way you've found to crop images in Excel, but there are more robust applications out there. I'm sure you're aware of that.

You should at least get Gimp.

Thanks, man. Everything was hand-drawn with a Uniball Vision ink pen, save the border. I was just trying to point out where the border came from, as it's the only part that was digital.

Excel is easy resize, and its best-kept secret is its easy-to-use photo-editing tools. I do have Gimp, and I use that for blurring faces in photos and such, but I didn't need to do anything advanced with this piece.

I'm not releasing this for any of my projects but thought I would try a little reverse engineering. Maybe I'll make it into a T shirt or something.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
