It is 100% Berol Prismacolor colored pencils. I work from my own photographs. I draw it out completely down to the finest detail with a mechanical pencil. I do this because unlike painters, I don't use color blobs to simulate fine details. If there is a small decal or writing, I actually put them in there. Reflections are actually colored right onto the board (Cresent 300), not overlaid. Overlay is used for blending. It takes me 50 to 75 hours to complete, start to finish, the more complicated drawings.
I have actually started drawing again off and on. Just trying to finish up some older unfinished projects (Like an old P-51 Mustang air race plane) and starting on some that I have wanted to do. Like this photograph of mine. |
