PoorOldPo,

I haven't visited the thread in a while and so I was unaware of your series of haunting pictures, such as the three below, that seem to show the spirits of people, brilliant as stars, hovering among and in the trees or buildings.

I love how you have developed your own colorful, organic style while exploring this theme.

"River" (the middle one) is my favorite of all. I recall seeing two pictures of yours in which you showed people in boats. One picture (of the Nile) showed your people in their boats upon the red river under the star-filled, blue sky. The second, "River," shows the colorful streaks of trees with just a glimpse of a boat on the water behind them.

I like the way your boats and your glowing people, your vertical trees and buildings, create continuity among your pictures. I can imagine them in sequence in a gallery, such as in the order below. I feel these pictures are wonderful because they seem so full of life and emotion, chaotic yet with order. Your picture of a tree and its deep, pale, ghostly roots, so substantive, also sticks with me. You show the unseen. Please continue...

I am very glad you like the middle one VEGANGELICA, I did that one in a rush for my friend, a gift for his wedding, before I hopped onto a plane. Had to tuck it into my luggage, a big canvas. I think the fact that I did it in such a rush showed me I don't have to spend hours on something to make people appreciate it. Thanks :) Yes, I am glad you recognized those themes as they are things that I think about a lot, the unseen, spirits. I hope to cover those themes once more(now that I have paint again ^^)
