I'm sorry but how do you figure that one? They're going to starve to death if we don't hunt them? What?

Oh yeah, I forgot the second part of your post. Yes, omega 3 fatty acids are extremely
healthy for the human brain. They come from the fish skin. They are one of the most healthy things a human being can take. You might try a multivitamin, without the fatty acid (keep in mind, it might be full of chemicals), or an even better alternative would be Flaxseed. Flaxseed is the miracle of modern nutrition. It may even be healthier for you than omega 3 fatty acids.

Well they will MOST LIKELY overpopulate and there isn't enough food for them all to survive because of natural selection.

I mean, either way, what makes animals matter more then plants?

Well, plants don't have physical feelings. It wouldn't be able to get the enjoyment out of life that an animal might. Since plants don't have brains, it is unlikely they have the sensory capacity to feel anything, although some people think they do.

Hunting and the meat we actually eat are two pretty different scenarios. Which is why I'm so tired of meat-eaters pulling this argument, its just as bad as some of the crap vegetarians try and pull. The most bought meats are stuff like chickens, cows, turkeys, pigs etc, farm animals not deer and the other stuff people typically hunt.

Logically, animals have about the same odds as plants when it comes to having feelings. The only difference is the brain, but tell me, when was it proven that an animal brain operates the same way a human brain does.

And don't take all of this the wrong way. I don't hate vegans or anything. I just don't understand why the limiting of your diet to plants does anything to help this earth.

I understand. Again, though I don't understand how we can disregard plants like they are nothing, but act like animals are equal to humans. Plus these animals are not innocent, by your standards. All kinds of animals we eat, eat all kinds of innocent organisms.

Humans>animals(non homo sapien)>plant. If I said that to a Jainist, I'd be dead wrong.
You're right, the human brain is much more complex, and able to distinguish many more emotions than a monkey, or a dog. Therefore, I do consider humans greater than animals. I still don't think we have the right to do whatever we want with them. Think of it like a metaphor, this earth is our earth. We are given dominion over it for a short time. We are meant to respect it while we are here. People who litter aren't right, just because this is their planet. I consider the creatures of this planet to be as precious as the planet itself. So, even if we have dominion over this planet, it still comes with responsibility. The only emotion animals have been proven to feel are love, anger, fear, and sadness. Humans on top of that feel guilt, greed, embarassment, all of which are fear or love based, but nonetheless they feel a much larger plethora of emotions. Plants respond to sunlight, and we know they are a living thing, we know they grow, but they are exempt from an indistinguishable personality that an animal may have. Also, as we said, they don't have a brain, so we know they don't have physical feelings, and it's very unlikely they have emotions, and Jainists believe plants have a soul, and maybe they do, but I consider animals more worthy of life because of the defining characteristics I described above.

Remember when you were being constantly bombarded by those beef commercials back in the 90's? Well, that was right after NAFTA went through, and big business gained a monopoly on the farming and the beef industry. Also, at that time, vegetarians were starting to grow in #'s, and so it scared the beef industry. It makes sense, they had the money to do it, so every five minutes you'd get one of those 'Beef, it's what's for dinner' commercials.
What is the proof that human's need to eat meat? I don't eat meat. Are you saying that I'm dead, or I will drop dead any minute? Or is there some kind of government conspiracy, like Soylent Green, and they're putting cow liver in my lettuce, and pig guts in my brussel sprouts, and thank god for the conspiracy, or else I wouldn't be alive.
Im saying the only reason your living without meat is through modern technology.. 2000 years ago if you didnt eat meat your were malnurished.. most vegetarians are malnurished and dont have the physical endurance of ominvores..

I personally think eating meat is wrong and disguisting, but I know people will never ever stop it. I've been a vegatiarian for almost 3 years now, and props to anyone else who is. Meat IS murder
