Planning on getting this:

Once I have some cash. It's the original Elder Sign, from H.P. Lovecraft. Not that ****ty one that Derleth made popular after his death.

Gonna get it on the inside of my right wrist, relatively small. All black. I love Lovecraft and all the related junk, plus, should Cthulhu and the rest of the Old Ones actually wake up at some point, I'll actually be protected~~

Eh. The only regret I have with my tattoos are (1) that my half sleeve is designed such that if I want a full sleeve on that arm it's going to have to be a continuation of the same style otherwise it'll look goofy, and (2) even though it's just down to my elbow, I have to wear long sleeves if I want to hide it.

On that note, it always mystifies me when I see people with full sleeves that get cut off abruptly at their wrists... are their cuffs some sort of magical variety that don't get pulled up or something? And if they don't care, why not just go all out?

It would be neat to get this tattooed on my body somewhere, not sure where yet.

EDIT: Make of it what you will, but since it's a symbol that existed before the Third Reich, (And wasn't that well known for being used by Germany at the time) I have no problems putting this on my skin.

Image isn't showing.

Most people cut off sleeves at the wrist because employers don't really like hand/neck tattoo's even less than they like sleeves. Most places are okay with sleeves now. In my work anything goes, my assistant manager has her tragus's pierced and her rook and a few members of staff have large tattoo pieces that are always visibly on show.

^^^ this is my point, Aurora. If you want clothing to be able to cover up full sleeves, you need to have the tattoos cut off several inches before the wrist, otherwise whenever your cuffs come up, your tattoos will be clearly visible.

If I were to get a sleeve I'd cut it off just at the little sticky out wrist bone. All the sleeves I've seen have went to there and they looked sweet :). I guess people with longer sleeves are just more careful? Or just don't care.

Speaking of females with brass knuckle tattoos; does anyone else like dating tattoos? That is, being a sort of amateur archaeologist, and spotting - say - a barcode tattoo on the back of some guys neck, and remembering when that was cool, and then making an educated guess about what that person was like then?

If I ever got anything it'd be veeeerrrrryyyyy simple.
