If nothing else, it'd be very unique and who cares if it takes another 2 years to complete the rough draft of what you want. It'll be unlike anything anybody you know has ever seen. The downside of that is trying to explain what it is to other people. If I had a nickel for every person who asks about what mine is/ is going to be, I'd have a fuckload of nickels.

I can't, any future tattoos are going to be places that are covered. I don't think my present tattoos will inhibit my job options, but I'd prefer to not push the envelope and quit while I'm ahead.

Probably a smart choice. I had a problem with this recently. After I began work on my sleeve, some a-hole with nothing better to do decided to cry about it to my boss, saying that tattoos must be covered while at work. Well, the rule book states they need to be covered if you have direct patient contact, which I do not, and I convinced the lab director that it would be discrimination if they decided to single me out. She agreed and they've stricken the rule from the entire company's policy. I've always kept the bloody girl covered, as a consideration for what other people would probably find offensive, and that has never been an issue, but when a tattoo is something rather inocuous like the biomechanical dna and constellations I have on my forearm, I don't see the problem. Some people need to **** off.

As emerging generations begin to rise to boss positions in the workplace there will be a big reform when it comes to tattoos, as they are now far more common for people. Nearly everyone I know has some sort of tattoo, even a lot of my professors at school have them. The older generations will hang onto their management positions for another couple of years, but give it 20 years and I think most tattoo work policy rules will be amended or thrown outright.

That was actually part of the argument I used. :p:

So is there anyone here who regrets getting one of their tattoos? Any of those "it seemed like a good idea at the time.."

^nice one.

That's why I plan on getting an extremely small tattoo if I even have the guts to get one.

I like the idea of a tattoo, but I doubt I'd ever get one.. mainly for that reason, can't comit myself to something for the rest of my life if I'm not 100% sure about it.

Yea, my tribal that goes down my entire left arm... dumb move because I'll more than likely have to wear long-sleeves at any decent job, and it's hot as balls in Louisiana.

Right arm. Taken while in was in the process of losing weight, so my arm looks massive lol

Chest piece that is now connected to a full sleeve

Side view

The sleeve is fully outlined, but not quite finished with the shading. Little bits of color here and there, but it's difficult to take pictures of because it's quite a detailed piece and I'd have to keep turning my arm, so you don't get to see it until it's finished :)

Love the first one especially. Not your usual tattoo and it's done extremely well.
