Even if its a legit working barcode, somebody would have to draw it then apply it very carefully with a needle. It would probably have to be perfectly exact in order to scan anything so even if you used an actual barcode, I doubt it would work.

I was thinking this. But don't those things work with a magnetic strip of some sort as well?

No magnets. The distance is so precise that a tatoo has a one in a million chance of actually scanning.

Tattoos stretch even after a few days so having a barcode is possibly the worst type to have no matter if you are younger and the elasticity of your skin is good. The bars will only take a year tops to 'bleed' into each other.

I doubt he would go to asda and scan himself I think it's the idea, not the actual purpose.
