This wasn't mean to be taken seriously it was more meant to point out the rock and roll of fame is a bunch of bull****. Madonna?

I remember a few years ago one of Nick Cave's albums was up for some award & he pulled out of the nominations saying that music shouldn't be a competition.

The Sex Pistols refused to go to the Hall of Fame ceremony when they were inducted.

Anyway, I don't pay attention to the MTV awards but I imagine they're nothing short of repugnant.

The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is run by corrupt fools. They have a horrible bias against prog rock too... I think Pink Floyd is the only prog band there. Madonna and U2 are in there, but Iron Maiden, King Crimson and Can aren't. I know Maiden isn't strictly rock, but in their time, heavy metal could have been considered a subgenre of rock, and Madonna is pop for crying out loud.

Nick Cave is the man.

I actually think Can not being on there is a good thing. Some bands are better left on the outside of the mainstream.
I've never heard a single band influenced by Can that I didn't like.
I kinda want it to stay that way.

I loved how the pistols refused to go in. There are so many great bands that have never gotten in, and so many ****ty bands that have, its all just a joke.
