Well, you guys might think I'm really 'wacky', but I guess I'm just so grateful for my life, that I would like to some day give something back, by somehow getting involved in helping people in other, less fortunate countries.
Of course, I think we all would all like to help less fortunate people if we could. But, a lot of us just care about a lot of things in front of that, such as making money, so we can land ourselves a hot wife, or getting the new gucci purse. I don't really have much money right now, and of course I'd like to have a hot wife, and provide for her and my kids. However, it's just an extra incentive that one thing that drives me is putting myself in a position to help other people. We do have a lot of really good people in this country who have worldly views, and aren't just concerned about their own family. I'm not criticizing people who want to take care of their family. I'm just saying aren't we fortunate enough to do a little bit more? |

The point of life is to wonder what the hell the point of life is until you die. If there is life after death, the point of that is to ponder what was the point of your life was, and if there ISN'T life after death, well, then you know it was pointless.
Unless you've decided not to care anymore, in which case, kudos; you've graduated to a place above philosophy-life. |

Friedrich Nietsche (sp.?) had a very interesting idea, which was that we live the same life over and over again. As in we die, and then we're brought back in time to when we were conceived in our mother's womb, and then birthed all over again. I assume he means that then we're brought up in the same circumstances, and have the option to make different choices along the way. I entertain that idea as possible, because it's such a novel idea.
It would actually explain a lot of the deja vu we all feel. I've had deja vu many times, and many times I can remember why I'm feeling it, but just as often, I'm unable to retrace the circumstances that brought about this familiar feeling. That could explain it. |
