Right Track, real Absinthe isn't legal because of it's high alcohol content. In addition, real absinthe (because it' made using wormwood) has a habit of causing hallucinations when you drink it.

I've known a lot of people who have tried it, generally on trips to Europe, and they all have said while it is a unique brand of drunk, there were no full blown hallucinations.
