Alright, I am finally dragging myself (reluctantly) into the online music download scene. I just signed up for an iTunes account and I am now looking at Yahoo! Music. I am a little torn as to which is better....paying a monthly subscribtion for unlimited dowloads (Yahoo) or per song/album (iTunes). Since I don't know exactly how much/little downloading I plan to do just yet which would you suggest/prefer?

If you really want to choose between those two...go with Yahoo Music Jukebox I have it. I pay 8 bucks monthly and I can download any amount of albums to my mp3 player but if I want to have the song to burn to a cd that's when you pay 79 cents per song.

I'm only experienced with iTunes and it does what it's supposed to do, but I have heard good things about eMusic.
And definitely check out Mp3Sparks.com. Last edited by billyjerome; 11-18-2007 at 11:28 PM. |

I don't understand shareminer....how can it be free and still be legal???? (seriously, I have no clue and want to know)
So far I like what I am seeing on MP3Sparks.com jackhammer: I am not looking to replace buying hard copies. There is a bunch of songs out there I would like, but don't want to buy a whole album for one song. It only makes sense to pay anywheres from .22 cents to $1 for the song I want than many time more than that for a whole record. (Soon I will be starting in on collecting hard copies of every Beatles studio album!) Brian

I agree with Jackhammer, I'd never pay. That's completely ridiculous in my view. If you want just songs like you do, download free albums and delete the songs you don't want thus leaving you a song or maybe two that you like! for free ![]() |
