Default Other Conservatives?

I've been reading through the Iraq War thread a bit and I'm curious...how many other conservatives do we have on the board? You can also chime in if you're not, not looking to start any arguments here.

Most of my other friends who are in to the same music as me are liberals, so I've been thinking I'm the odd man out, but maybe I just don't know enough people to judge.

Depends what kind of conservative you mean.

Moral, fiscal, social?

It also depends largely on the issues. My position summed up is this.

There are things that as a government (society) we should place as "valued" and mandate federally. Everything else should be as deregulated as possible. The only things we ought to mandate federally is education, defense, public safety, and medicine. I'm writing this fast so I probably forgot some things but I believe highly in the fundamental tenets of capitalism.

Used to be a conservative, now I'm more of a left leaning libertarian.

education shouldnt be mandated
neither should medical
or
anything for that matter
'if defense wasnt mandated by the governement, and there was no government, and someone attacke dus, there wouldnt be a fight, and thered be nothing to seize control of, so there fore, itd only be for resources
