And there I think is the big split between liberals and conservatives. Liberals would love to see the government running their healthcare system. Liberals (like neocons) WANT big government. This country was established to rid its people of tyranny. Allowing the government to control and manipulate the country ceaselessly will only serve to kill this country. Liberals and Neoconservatives could care less about the constitution. Big government, increased spending, global government. It's ridiculous. |

Some things are better run by the government than they are privately.
Take Royal Mail for example , since that was privatised thousands of small post offices have closed , many in remote rural areas , prices have gone up , the number of postal deliveries has been reduced , there are more post strikes than ever and bosses award themselves huge pay increases despite not hitting targets. That has nothing to do with me being liberal or conservative , thats just me seeing an industry going down the toilet since it was privatised and being run for profit rather than for service. And have taxes gone down since it didn't have to subsidise Royal Mail , nope not in the slightest. And I wouldn't like to see the NHS go down the same road.

Much like package delivery services in america (DHL, UPS, FedEx, U.S. Postal Service, etc.). All compete for consumers. Prices stay low. Monopolies won't form because each company stands to make more money.
It's a wonderful system really. CarlJr is explaining it well.
