I mean, you still get the chemicals you're after. They still needs to be processed by the liver, no difference there. What is it they filter out?

By the way, these bad trip stories is why I haven't tried hallucinogenics, haven't wanted to and ain't gonna. It doesn't sound like fun at all!

Harry, it's clear you've been traumatized and scarred by the experience. You should talk to someone who understands, perhaps even consider a psychologist. I think anxiousness, aside from that experience being spooky, may come from a feeling like you're losing control. Dealing with the problem and those thoughts in a manageable way - doing stuff, sharing the experience, talking to people - will help you regain a sense of control and help you feel better.
