i don't know man...it is totally possible to OD on acid while it is impossible to on shrooms. i was totally keen on trying acid until my friend got a little too into it. he went away one summer and came back totally messed up. he was a strict vegan, didn't do any drugs including alcohol, and was convinced he was on a higher spiritual plane. turns out he took an intense amount of acid during the summer and the devil came and talked to him about how ****ed his life is.

obviously the devil didn't come to talk to him, but he was convinced and his state just degenerated from there. he was eventually convinced he didn't need food at all, he paced constantly all around campus freaking people out, and generally pulled a syd barrett and is now schizophrenic.

now i don't feel like doing acid so much.

Lesson learned there is schizophrenics shouldn't do drugs.... Alot of times mind altering drugs can trigger schizophrenia but dont cause it, it usually was going to happen anyway. You said college, thats about the age it comes out.

With that said I still don't plan to do Acid, I don't think I got the mind set to let go of everything and just enjoy it. Just sounds to intense. I mean my mom and dad told me some ****ed up **** that happened to them, sure they said it with a smile as they told the story of my Dad almost running over my mom with the truck. but ya know.......

Acid isn't that different from shrooms. Having done shrooms, you're prepared enough for an acid trip. And no it's not 200 times more powerful in context of dosage. Yes, you'll be screwed if you eat an entire sheet of acid or drink an entire vial... but who would do that?
Just drop a single blotter and I guarantee you, especially with the dilution that goes on now days in comparison to back when your folks were dropping acid, you'll probably want to drop another blotter before the night is through.

The only negative thing about acid is it's hard to really know what kind of dose you're taking, but realistically, you can be sure that a single blotter hit isn't going to be the hell of a ride you're expecting it to be. In all likelihood, you'll probably be disappointed in the lack of potency and feel ripped off.

Also, you can always play it safe and cut it in half.

Id advise against doing those. They were without exception the worst expirience on drugs I have ever had in my life. Ive took a whole range of both stimulants and trips and these were the only thing I couldnt handle.

The trip started off ok, watched a trippy film, many laughs were had.

Then I started to feel sick but wat was worse I had this tingle in my arm. Everytime id get this my mind would freak out. The second this stopped in my arm
id start to feel better and would start enjoying the trip again. It would then start all over again and id be back to where I was for a good half an hour.

I didnt really get any visuals either it was just a complete mind ****.

Not enjoyable at all.

I have only had two. Both of them off DXM..

My first time I drank an 8oz bottle of the wrong stuff. (With gauifenesin in it). It was the first time I had ever been high on anything so I spent the whole night puking my guts out and thinking I was near death. I tripped hard as balls too. it was a complete mind**** fest.
Second bad trip was recently when I did two bottles of dxm. Unfortunatly I went in with a bad stomach and an empty stomach. It hit me like a ****ing brick and i spent the night sweating profusely with hot and cold flashes and throwing up over a toilet, all while not knowing who I was or where I was and being mind****ed by every visual in the dark. Luckily a friend stayed sober that night and took care of me. Lots of wet towels and nice talking.
Because of that experience, the last time I did dxm (just the pills too) I dry heaved on the toilet because I thought I was sick again even though I wasn't. The same friend talked me down though and it all ended up being okay.
It's safe to say bad trips are the scariest things ive ever experienced in my life. Enough to make me give up all drugs for a month (and what a boring month that was).
