Filters are a wonderful thing, while they don't do what the label implies i.e. filter the smoker, but it does give you something solid to hold on to when it's burning down lower and allows for a smoother hit. I use to use old bus tickets I got every day going to work, they worked wonders and 1 ticket could last about 7 joints. You could also use cards.
