It's the same concept. A traditional gravity bong just uses water in a bucket instead of a plastic bag. You fill the cut off bottle with water by pushing it down into the water, light the product and draw the bottle full of smoke without breaching the seal, pull the slide/bowl out, and prepare to be gravity bonged.

We used to use the big Faygo 3 liter bottles for it, much more pwerful rips.
