bi-polar is considered more pc because "manic depressive" has a lot of negative connotations

I have ADD, which I take anti-depressants for because,
they boost serotonine. Antidepressants and Ritalin basically do the same thing and increase serotonin.

I used to be ashamed that I had it, until I found out most kids develop ADD as a defense mechanism against all the advertising these days. Practically from the day I was born, I feel like I was being sold something, so to combat that I immediately block things out after hearing them for about 6 seconds. Now, I'm better able to process information. But, it's still tricky trying to compute what information is of genuine use to you, and what is trying to sell you something. Every salesperson is so slick these days, they try to act like they're your friend, then you find out they just wanted to give you a deal on some car stereo equipment or something. F'in people. I'll never get them.

ADD is for the most part an excuse for kids to not have an attention span. Some actually have it, and this is a small percentage.

What you said is bull****, or you are just an extremely weak willed person.

Sorry to sound mean, but that is true.

Well, I should have said that when a person has ADD, it can frequently be diagnosed as depression, which it was in my case. The anti-depressants help me with my ADD.

and btw, Rezz, I really doubt my statement was b.s. because that is what psychologists have concluded-ADD is a trigger response to dealing with all the constant commercials and advertising, and lies we see on a day to day basis. When you start to hear it, you just shut your brain off from it. You can argue with that all you want, but you're not arguing with me, you're arguing with science.
