really? because that sounds like it wouldn't work at all, and taste gross

simplephysics 01-13-2009 08:26 PM

I think I'd rather just smoke a bowl.

Is weed and raving a good combo?

debaserr 01-13-2009 10:40 PM

its definitely works but yes it does taste weedy

eating weed usually seems to be more intense and lasts longer too.

you guys ever throw a bit of weed into those microwave brownie mixes? works like a charm and its easy too

my roommate bakes them in the oven. they're freaking awesome :thumb: his trick is to bust it up in a coffee grinder then toss in a few coffee beans afterward to clean it out, then those go into the mix too. the coffee masks the taste just enough and adds a little pep to the brownies as well, but isn't overpowering.

OK, cool.

And I ate a little bit of weed once, it didn't really do much for me. I felt overly emotional, though. I got really lonely. =/

i had a couple really strong brownies once and went to Busch Gardens, it ended with me getting violently angry at America and its bastardization of culture

if your gonna cook, you need to extract the THC into a fat (ideally butter) because its fat soluable.

its a more mellow, longer lasting, primarily THC high (low boiling temperature of butter keeps some of the other canabanoids unreleased). its the healthiest way to consume marijuana, however i personally find it less enjoyable. not to say there isnt a time and place, take a symphony hall or the opera or say you have a 4 hour longhorn football game to goto... place you obviously cant light up.

I agree completely. The only downside for me at least when cooking in butter before throwing it into the oven with brownie mix is the INTENSE smell. If you have your own property it is not a problem but when renting like myself the smell really finds its way out o every nook and cranny.

Also, question for you JGD: How long do you typically cook the marijuana in with the butter? Personally I seem to get good results with around 10-15 minutes on medium burner, but it always leaves me wondering if I could have done better.
