not true, there are things you can do to make it burn longer, a friend of mine does something with maple syrup and then puts it in the freezer, when he rolls a blunt it burns for almost an hour

what it seems to me that he does(i dont pay that much attention) is he puts some syrup on his finger and rubs a little line of it then wraps its up, puts in in the microwave for a few seconds then in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, i think the syrup slows the burn down a little but its mostly for flavor( i think) being in the freezer seems to make it burn alot slower(also?)

yea thats why i dont smoke that many blunts. i usually use my nice bong. but usually when its a blunt a few people throw down on it and you can take massive rips off them. being said here my percentages of smoking:
75% bong
5% blunt
10% piece
10% joint

burning sugar is not very nice to smoke

you could try using maple extract
its an alcohol based flavoring so the liquid will eventually evaporate leaving just the flavor and slightly moistened leaves that will burn slowly
