I have some questions for our drug using forumistas.

- What is CBD oil?
- What does it do?
- How would one use it?
- Does it help with either anxiety or insomnia?

Seems like it's becoming popular and it's now legal in the UK. I don't want to get high because weed high makes me anxious and paranoid, apparently it won't do that anyway so are there any positives or is it a waste of money and crap?

I heard good stuff about CBD and bought some liquid from my vape.
It was rated really well but it did nothing for me. No special feeling of relaxation whatsoever.
Still think you should try it.

CBD is cannabidiol, one of the active ingredients in marijuana. It definitely doesn't do much in the way of making you mentally high, but it does have a bit of a light, numbing effect. That's been subtle in my experience. It usually comes as an edible, oil, or in a pretty whack herbal form that I think is just some smokable material that they spray with oil. I think it works well for insomnia and soreness, idk about anxiety. Relieving those stress symptoms could help with it I suppose. I can also sell you some oil if you want.

My only experience with CBD was in the form of gummies. I think each one had like 10mg, but I think I took 100mg and my body loved me for it. It was like, why hasn't this been here in your brain all along?! I think I activated my endocannabinoid system.

So it's not some fad that does nothing then?

Holland and Barrett (health shop) sells it, but it looks crap on there. 5% and reviews are saying it's weak for the price.

My family is actually in the CBD/medical marijuana industry. My parents claim it does just about everything. It is only approved officially to treat certain forms of seizures in children, but some studies suggest that it is beneficial for anxiety, depression, and restlessness.

It generally has a calming effect when consumed, and may have other uses, but widespread verifiable scientific studies are still inconclusive.

Tell them that Frownland from the internet thinks that promoting medical marijuana as a cure all is damaging to the people who could benefit from its legitimate medicinal effects.

Trust me, I agree with you. It’s an unfortunate tension in the relationship I have with my parents. They went from being fundamentalist Christians to being fundamentalist hippies.
