Don't think anyone's mentioned Quaaludes yet. They were "the thing" in the late 70s/early 80s. Crushing one up and mixing it with some weed was the bomb.

Nutmeg is whack to the max, and it makes you feel like ****. It's a deliriant so you know. I still enjoyed the whacky trip, because I'm a whacky person.

Getting shrooms Sunday, already have my trip music ready.

So I'm most likely going to go into a woods-y reservoir area with friends and jam with my acoustic instruments while we trip sometime next week. I want to have a fun and productive trip, will bring my field recorder and will post results. Anyone here ever jam out in the woods on mushrooms?

My band use to do it on acid all the time. An acoustic and three voices while tripping = lots of awesomeness.

I'm not even sure I could play 2 chords in a row on mushrooms or LSD. My other bandmates go out and smoke a ton of pot at the set break and come back and just rip. If I did that I would be worthless. I guess I'm a lightweight.

You can definitely tell when I've smoked or done anything for that matter. I'm really loose and spacey, can't really do much, but making music still is really fun and enjoyable (maybe even more so). It's just I wish I could stay in that mode forever, everything is amazing and I can play pots and pans to the tune of the birds if I wanted to and I would be the most content person on the planet.

I agree, making music is a blast while stoned. I just can't play castles made of sand or Bron-Yr-Aur or something in front of a bunch of people while wasted. I would play the wrong chords, lose my place, whatever. But sitting around a campfire and jamming on some Grateful Dead or something, hell yeah.
