Heh, one of my acid ego deaths, I remember sitting on the pavement outside a rave venue in New Orleans in the late '90s, the morning after the event as people were streaming out looking all exactly the same, staring at my arm, picturing the inside of an orange and thinking, "****, I'm organic!"
(This was of no relation to the organic food movement to come later, but when I think about it in relation to that, it makes me chuckle)
Regarding your "walk into a truck" one, that reminds me of the night I first got ego death. On upwards of 20 fresh shrooms. I ended up walking outside at night, in the pouring rain, in my socks, and thinking I was having a lucid dream, so I could do whatever I want. I intended on getting into someone's car and driving it around. This was at an apartment complex, and it just so happened that I picked a car that belonged to one of my friends that was there (thankfully). Just so happened to be unlocked, although I'm pretty sure I thought I willed it to be unlocked. Got in, willed some keys, but they didn't appear. Willed the engine to start. No dice. In my frustration, I found a half-drank 40oz beer in there, and proceeded to splash it everywhere in the interior, then I returned to the apartment sopping wet and proclaimed to a very confused-looking bunch of people, "Lucid dreams don't work."
