I like the saying, "the roach is never dead". Keep smoking that ****.

It really depends on the situation, if someone has a bowl, empty it and put it in there.

Everybody has their own cool stoner style. They should come out with a line of Bratz dolls with stoner accessories.

Yeah, we do about the same thing - we roach e'rrythang...joints, blunts...and then we take the roaches and make a "roach bowl" once a sufficient amount has been accumulated.

What? Roach as in the little rolled up bit of cardboard/paper at the end of a joint?!

I smoke for 3 or 4 years, very regulary and just last year I started to have some weird side effects. It first started with some very severe throat pains, sharp pains in the throat. It hurt so bad that I was trembling in pain, one of the strangest, most painful experiences of my life. After the high would wear off, the pain would as well. I think it was partly mental, but still, The pain was real.

I laid off of smoking for a while after that. Then when I decided to smoke again the throat pain was minimal, if not non existent. I think the higher i got, the more prone I was to getting the throat pain. But anyway, a new pain started, a pain in my jaw, right in front of my ear lobes. I think I might grind my teeth in my sleep because even when I lay off smoking for a week or two I still get the pain. But the pain definitely increases when I smoke, so I'm not sure what going on.

I've done some googling and couldn't find much help. So I'm wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this or can shed any light on my problem. It would be greatly appreciated.

That's what we in the US refer to as a crutch; a roach is the bits of brown/still greenish matter left in the very end of a joint or a blunt. We fill them ****ers up to the brim, nothing less than 2g in my gar if you in my circle. I have never rolled anything with a crutch but I have lots of friends who do it habitually.

We always just called it a filter here in Canada.

The 'roach' is the butt of the J so long as there's still some smokeable within (tear it up first, don't smoke the filter).

Speaking of rolling or piping roaches I knew a guy years ago who used something similar to Russian stacking dolls to store his generational roaches. 3 levels of rez. If I remember correctly he said it took months if not the better part of a year to get enough roaches to roll a 3rd gen roach J.

I'm equal parts disgusted and curious.

Yeah, I've heard filter too. I just never got the appeal of sticking extra paper in your J, but then again marijuana is wildly illegal where I'm from so my priority was always to get as faded as possible ASAP. Rolling a J is usually an outdoor experience for me, i.e. it needed to be easily concealed and smoked rather quickly. To each his own :)

And I knew a couple of guys back in high school who would actually eat blunt roaches. They thought it got them higher. It's been like 3 years since I've seen anyone do it but every time I did I was like ???

EWWW WHAT THE HELL!!! you don't EAT that!

I kind of prefer having a filter to be honest, it makes holding the J easier and you get less oil and rez on your fingertips. It's also illegal out here and with the current 'omnibus' crime bill being forced through Canadian Parliament. As of last night low-level pot growers (6 plants) are going to be facing harsher minimum sentences than pedophiles who rape babies and make kiddie porn.

I've also always been weary about smoking outside. Seems way more likely to get busted that way. Lucky for me I have a rather large internal 'storage closet' in my apartment, it's the ultimate smoking room hehehe.

Also a final tip for all the puffers on the board - Oil of Wintergreen. A bottle of that stuff sells for like $3 at any pharmacy. It's one of the main ingredients in stuff like A535 or Ben-Gay or other muscle relaxants hence the smell of pink peppermints / old people. 2-3 cap fulls of that stuff in a spray bottle (like Febreeze or Windex) top it off with water, give it a shake, and you've got the ultimate in scent killing sprays.
