Ok, so I just found out I'll be doing acid for the first time this Saturday. I'm kind of nervous but mostly just excited. And yeah I have heard that acid > shrooms from people but for some reason I always thought I should do shrooms first just because it doesn't last as long.

They both last pretty long. And when I say long, you won't know what I mean until you're under the influence of either substance. The actual hours involved won't really matter. Enjoy both.

Yeah, I went into psychedelics thinking the same thing but now that I've tried both I actually think shrooms are more intense. When you're on acid you seem more in control than when you're on shrooms, but that just might be my personal opinion. Of course, don't be tripping when you need to be doing something that requires you to be in control of yourself, but I guess that goes without saying. And I would say shrooms last about as long as acid does, depending the amount you've eaten, etc. Whatever you do you'll be fine though, they're pretty harmless drugs as long as you aren't a complete idiot/autistic.

I agree completely with this. One of the things that I've experienced, probably even stronger with acid than shrooms is the time thing. There was one time I dropped acid at about 10PM one night, and was going to be catching a ride to rehearsal at 6PM the next evening. From about midnight to 2AM, time was completely gone. Or, at least my grasp of it was. I couldn't figure it out, and remember at one point looking at the clock and it saying 12:15. After I'd experienced several millenia and established that my friends and I were the only three people in the world and we'd just fabricated the entirety of existence, I had a moment of clarity and remembered seeing the 12:15. When I looked back over at the clock, it was 12:22.

So, yes. Centuries can pass in the span of a few minutes, and it really will feel as though you've experienced amazingly long amounts of time in no time at all. Sometimes, anyway. That's not always happened to me.

Yeah, I've been researching acid quite a bit recently and most sources have said that it can be less intense. The fact that I'll have some control over myself is also comforting because I think that was one of my biggest anxieties about it, just completely losing control over the experience. And after all that research I'm a lot more comfortable with it, as it seems all those crazy stories about people gouging their eyes out and all that fun stuff are just myths made by anti-drug psychos. So I am definitely excited for Saturday.

Except on PCP. Most horror stories from that drug have some truth to them. That **** is scary.

I had that at my first Phish concert. I feel like I've already mentioned how that went down here. I won't say it wasn't interesting, or that it didn't make for an amazing Phish story, but I will say that I was freaking the freak out.
