If quantity is low between all the participants, I wouldn't go below 1 gram for each of you. 1.5 would be the nice comfy middle ground... but if you have enough for 2 grams each, I'd go that route because you're not going to get much off a half a gram each if you save some, especially while your tolerance is still high from the first round.

If you're getting fresh mushies, that's where things get a little iffy because the gram amount is going to be a lot higher. For fresh I'd go about 18-20 or so grams each. It's a lot more variable than dried. You should shoot for dried because you'll get more consistent dosing.

I'll write more later, as I have a date with crawfish.

My friend who has tripped a few times before said basically the same thing, 2 grams dried would be the best. Thanks for the help!

Also, does anyone think tripping in a hotel room would be a good idea? We have a trip sitter and would most likely just be staying in the room with some music and movies. It's a big hotel, about average in terms of fanciness, and we're pretty confident no one would bother us, we won't have the music very loud. Would this be a good place to trip or not?

I had my first time with Weed exactly 7 days ago. Rather mind blowing!

Location is key to a good trip. If I were you, I would trip somewhere that you feel comfortable. Your house, a nearby lake, a friends room, any secluded area where you know that there will be no disturbances. Even a knock on the door for room service can lead to a bad trip. You just wan to make sure that there are no interruptions with your trip, don't do anything that can get you in trouble with the hotel, or someone in the other rooms complaining about noise or something and having to deal with a staff member while tripping. I'm assuming at least one of you will not be tripping? This is key, have someone who is there that makes sir you don't do anything that can be dangerous to yourself or others. Preparation is key to a good shroom trip, I meditated the day before my second trip, I ate the shrooms on an empty stomach (they taste like **** but chew them for as long as you can), and smoked some bud to ease the nausea. Another tip, don't fight the trip, just go with the flow. If you start feeling bad, remind yourself that you will come down in a couple of hours. Be careful with what music you choose as well, if it's intense enough the music can alter your trip into the good or the bad.
One of the main things though, if when you are about to eat that shroom, you begin to have second thoughts, don't do it, once you are in you are in.
Enjoy and safe tripping.
If all goes planned I should be tripping on Friday...don't let me down shady dealer!!!

Yes we have a trip sitter.

I feel safe at the hotel, like I said, it's a big place, it's not the type of hotel where they come in to tuck you in before you go to bed lol. I definately don't want to trip outdoors because I generally feel a lot more comfortable inside. If we can trip at mine or a friend's house that would be great, but Idk man, I feel like the hotel is our next safest bet. I think we'll be okay as long as we put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and aren't too noisy. And maybe this is me being naive, but I truly feel mentally ready to trip. We are going to take all the necessary precautions, and I'm doing it with people I feel truly comfortable with.

If you feel mentally ready, then you're ready.
The whole shit about "preparation" is mostly just a mental exercise. It's a process that certain people undertake in order to convince themselves that they're not going to freak out. It's usually the ones who worry about freaking out that actually freak out, so people that have that problem (or believe they would have that problem) help themselves by tricking themselves into not having that problem. It's really not as confusing as it sounds.
Although I do have to say, depending on what you imagine the intensity of the effects to be, you may or may not be surprised.
All you need to know is yes, it's supposed to be that intense.
Believe me, I've taken RIDICULOUS amounts of shrooms at once. I don't think it's possible to overdose. And I have never gone crazy.

There are only a few things you should take into account, regardless of whether you're "mentally prepared" or not.

1. Environment.
In a general sense, I mean; "where you're going to be tripping". But more applies to this. For one, yea, don't trip where you're going to be interrupted by sober people who look down on drug use. That's a party stopper. For two, trip somewhere where you're going to have something to do or look at or talk about. For three, trip with people you like and are comfortable with.

2. Introspection.
If you find yourself overly thinking about... yourself... stop. Don't be afraid of it, and certainly don't feel like this is a shark swimming near you at all times, but just get up as easy as you please and walk around and get more involved with what's going on. Be social. Take yourself out of the equation and just let yourself experience the trip WITH your friends. This shouldn't be hard at all during your first few trips, as everything will be new and catchy.

3. Have fun.
Smile. Be joyous. TAKE TURNS READING EACH OTHERS' MINDS!!!! Bring drawing paper and draw what you see when you close your eyes. Listen to music. BRING THINGS THAT GLOW IN THE DARK. Turn off lights and watch the tracers. Talk about things you wonder about. Watch a short cartoon on a small tv. Pee in toilet, and watch the color change... alone, and not with buddies. Unless that's your thing. WRITE THOUGHTS DOWN! They are amazingly hilarious and/or confusing to read when you're sober again.

Ultimately, just plan to have a fun experience. If you treat tripping like you're getting yourself ready for heart surgery, bad things are bound to happen. And don't believe 90 percent of the shit you hear about tripping until you've tripped yourself, because everyone's different.

GO HAVE FUN!

^ Haha thanks man . A few months back when me and my friends first discussed tripping I was slightly nervous about a bad trip, but now that we're actually doing it and we've taken the precautions and done the research, I don't feel nervous in the least. I think that I am strong enough to get myself out of a bad trip if it started to occur, even though it probably won't start.

The only prolem is I'm an idiot and I didn't realise that if you're under 18 in Aberta, you can't get a hotel room. So now we're debating between camping out somewhere(snow's melting fast here, I think winter's just about over) or waiting until one of our house's are parent-free for a weekend or something. I think I'd personally rather wait, because I want to have good music/ a trippy movie(would Spirited Away be good to trip to, that's what we're leaning towards) on hand. But I think camping would be really cool and really easy as there are a lot of good spots around here, only problem is we have to wait for the weather to line up, but that shouldn't take too long. All in all I'm really excited to trip, and want too as soon as possible.

Watching movies while on shrooms (for me at least) was a total drag. I tried to watch Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, it was boring as ****...and when I'm sober it's one of my favorite movies. One of the things on my bucket list is to take a mind altering substance in the snow, I say go for it. I've hear many things that Shrooms and the outdoors can be a wondeful experience, and I've only seem snow once so...but I vote camping trip for you guys!!!

Hmm... you have convinced me slightly. I just assumed watching a trippy movie would be really cool but what do I know. Maybe we will do our little camping trip once it warms up a bit. I don't know how it will turn out though, maybe we will end up getting to trip inside and we'll do that, I don't know though.

Outdoors is pretty cool tripping, but it's also good to have options at any point.
Indoor time and outdoor time.
Gadgets vs. nature.
Play indoors, then relax outside and marvel at the sunrise.
I say mix it up for your first time. Get an idea of how you dig each environment that way you can better plan for the next time.

I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in the wood or something if I ended up hating it and shivering my balls off the entire time.

P.S. if you do watch a movie, don't watch anything that requires involvement in the plot. You'll likely not follow much of it.

Heh.. The first time I watched Casablanca I was tripping my ass off, and I thought it was the trippiest movie ever made. The entire time I was like "wtf? I didn't know they were this loopy back in the day!" Come to find out, I had the entire plot wrong and had convoluted it in my head. When I was watching it, I thought Casablanca was a never ending train station and Bogart got stuck in a time loop, with the entire movie focusing on him trying to leave and always ending up right back where he started.

But hey, that was fun in its own way.
