I can't speak to exactly how it works, but my experience with bubblers has always been that the hit has been at least a little bit stronger than a straight pipe. It's basically a mini-bong and it hits like one.

I don't know anyone using cocaine. And I don't think I'd be happy if they did... Sorry . Eitherway, you can keep repeating that it's great that there's no taboo here on drugs. But I'm still absolutely convinced that the ones talking here are way more into drugs than most dutch are. It's really staggering... Almost seems as though you don't care about the downsides? It all seems so natural and easy for you. It's almost as though legalization actually made people think about drugs more, overhere.

I had a friend who had her first marijuana cigarette when she was 13.
First cigarette went down really bad and from that moment on she has had years of treatment before she could function again. She suffered from very heavy anxiety attacks, delusions, sleeping disorders... So yeah, it's safe compared to other drugs, usually. But not always. Eitherway, I'm shocked by the number of people who use drugs here. It seems so much more than I'm used to. I think people have a very strange view of the Netherlands, drug-wise. It's not as much as a drugs-for-everyone country as you may think .

Well anything that alters the way your brain works can cause brain damage. Doesn't really matter what you take. Same thing goes for alcohol.
Cigarettes in ganeral are bad for your lungs because of the tar and can cause lung cancer. These things are so commonly known here that I am not even sure if you are kidding me. Are you seriously unaware of the health problems drugs can cause you?

I'm absolutely sure the story is true.
There's more of these cases that I know of, just not of people I know myself. And I would expect something like that to happen to some people. Marijuana ****s with your brain, of course it can cause problems.

Out of curiosity, s_k, how old are you?
Some people do react badly to weed, but nothing that causes permanent damage. Maybe the experience traumatized her and she may have needed help for that, but then again a 13 year old should not be smoking. Just like a 13 year old should not be drinking, having sex, or driving. I do believe in a heavy enforcement of an age cap if weed were ever made legal...it is dangerous to do anything while your brain is going through so many changes during puberty. You are talking about drugs as if we all do them with no knowledge of the consequences at all. We all have a general idea of what a drug can do to us. I'm sure everyone posting in here knows that cocaine is addictive. It's all about the risks you are willing to take. We take risks going out the front door, so it really is up to the individual to decide.
