Do you know how they're drug testing you? If not, find out. If they are using a hair sample, that sucks. Don't smoke, they'll find it in your hair. If they are urine testing you, which is most likely, smoke up sir. Since you don't smoke a lot, itll be out of your system in no time. At the very maximum, like if you're paranoid about the drug test, just stop a month before the internship starts. It'll definitely be out of your system in a month, most likely it'll be out in 2 weeks or so. Enjoy the time and take advantage of the situation.

Heh. You know just because you're "starting corporate life" doesn't mean you have to stop living. I know I certainly did most of my hardest partying after college. It's a lot easier when you have a bunch of money at your disposal. :)

Just be careful with them. I went to one when I was there and they will do ANYTHING for you to not actually have sex with them. They're mighty crafty about it.

Find out the names of other previous interns. Contact them and ask. Or just call in from another number or blocked number and say you're interested in applying for an internship, and just flat out ask if there is drug testing. And just ask if it's a urine sample, most secretaries will just tell you. Try just googling too

All legit routes to finding out. Being the person I am, I would utilize all resources possible to ensure my trip to Amsterdam was as great as possible.

I had an internship myself where I was worried about this. They said they had the "right to drug test" but not that they would actually do it. Even a urine test is an expense that can build up if they do it for every single employee. Plus, you will just be an intern. No one gives a crap about interns. I ended up setting up a temp email and just asked the HR people directly. No drug testing. Yayyyy

Actually, just call in and ask them. If you ask, they aren't gonna be like "uhhh we can't tell you that information." It has no effect on your chances of passing the drug test. Just flat out ask them if it comes down to it.
