It being sealed has nothing to do with it...the chemical in salvia is sitting in a dead plant and is slowly degrading. A few months time, and its potency will be much less than if it was freshly cut.

This is very true...if you don't have a torch lighter hold your regular lighter on the salvia for a while without any vacuum...just heat it up a bit. Then let it rip.

Good. After I searched all over the place with no luck, I paid to have my buddy come visit and bring a little something along. About ten minutes after he arrived I met some cool hippie folk from North Beach and got some bud cookies from them and their number as a solid connect, only to get drunk as **** playing sloshball and lost my phone. I'm keeping my eyes open today for them hoping for some doses. I bought a bunk strip of doses from Golden Gate Park last week. :(

Ok, so I was having a conversation with some fellow military guys this morning and they were talking about how they had smoked a substance known as K2 (aka Spice) over the long weekend. Supposedly it produces effects nearly identical to mid grade marijuana and is undetectable of drug screenings. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience on this? It is worth buyinh and/or trying? If so, does anyone recommend a certain type or kind?

I was just reading about this in the news today. I'd heard of it before and that apparently, due to studies on cannabis, a chemical compound similar to THC was created and when people found out about it they started synthesizing it and spraying it on what-have-you and selling it as legal weed. I don't know the accuracy of that, but that's pretty much all I know about it.

Anyway, the media got a hold of K2 when some kids broke into a head shop to steal some and got caught by the cops, which in turn got law enforcement's attention.
So get it while you can, because states are going to begin signing bills to outlaw it soon. One state already has... forget which.

Seems like this stuff would already be covered and federally illegal under the Analog Act, but states will criminalize it once it becomes more widely known.

Thanks for the input Freebase, I have been searching the web all morning long to get more info about this stuff. It looks like its legal throughout the US at this point, although Missouri has a bill in place that, if signed, will make it an illegal substance. From what I've heard, this stuff is very popular amongst Marines and other military personnel and has been used by them for years. I'm going to have to check around the local head shops here and see what I can find. Thanks again for your input.

UPDATE!

Ok, I bought the K2 Spice herbal blend last night and subsequently smoked it as a result of my purchase. I have to say I am VERY impressed with the effect. I spent at least an hour on my couch paranoid that the dude at the head shop had just sold me real weed to **** with me and I couldn't stop thinking what a great stoner show Scrubs is. Now that the effects has subsided and I have slept off any sort of paranoia from last night I can accurately summarize the performance of the product.

It was fairly expensive ($70 for 3g), smelled and tasted like burt turd, and had a very near marijuana like high. I was so surprised at how close it was to the real thing. I will defiantely be using this again.

p.s. I have read some issues about tolerance. So I will report back after a few more uses to describe how the effects stand up over time.
