Yea you definitely gotta enjoy the mental state that comes along with psychoactives. The biggest thing is controlling it and not letting it control you. It really serves as an introspective journey that can either help or hurt you, and it's great to hear when people get something good out of it.

I think that's the only major thing I haven't tried. Well, I suspect I've done PCP but unless I do something knowingly, I don't really feel qualified to analyze its effects. Have you had a full on Salvia trip? I've been wondering how that compares to DMT, if at all.

I also imagined that the world was a giant web, or weave, and all I needed to do was pluck the right string and the world would bend to my command.

But the Salvia trip is just so short lived. Thank god. It's hugely scary. Words can't even explain what you see. It's another dimension altogether and it's like it's woven together as a fabric of all your repressed memories, fears, wonders, everything. It's just too dumbfounding to rationalize and by the time you come out of it, you barely remember what happened.

Honestly, that was not a good trip. It was strong, but I do not equate that to "good". Every salvia trip I've ever had was full of negative emotion. But it's just so amazing how deep you go into your own psyche that you often try to go back to see if you can figure out why you're so afraid.

I bet that most of the same mechanisms of action are going on with both drugs for the most part. I know there is very little research on how the chemicals in Salvia interact with receptors in the brain, but I'm not sure about DMT. I'm sure eventually there will be enough study and I'm willing to bet that there would be a lot of similarities between the two.
