Not so much Veridical..while he is high, yes, but he mentioned he wasn't as big of a fan of marijuana as some of us might be...

Those links I posted are an excellent way to achieve what you are looking for when "searching" for answers.

Thanks for the links River man, I've heard some things about it but never investigated further.

And I'm actually interested in trying hash brownies. I hear it has a pretty different, mellower vibe to smoking.

Done in a ritual scenario for a serious spiritual quest it can be quite positive and life changing.
I agree completely. In fact if you are doing any kind of drug just for the hell of it, that is dangerous. Including ciggys and beer an I love my ciggy's and beer. Point..... I feel worse about smoking a pack a day that I do about my nightly ritual bowling....

It's sort of too easy to get stuck on the bad trips even though it is quite possible to direct your trips, if you put some effort into it. Music seems to be the easiest way out.

Sometimes my whole perception of an artist changes when I listen to them high. For example, I liked Grizzly bear well enough before I heard them stoned, but hearing them high was almost a transcedental experience. I swear I felt like if heaven had any music, it would be this, it was really otherworldly, angelic.

I had a similar experience with Animal Collective's Merriwhether and for the first time realized how perfectly, insanely well produced it was, a million different sounds put together with such nerdy, perfectionist attention to detail.

Last night I was listening to the Klaxons and sort of started thinking how they purposefully made an album mixing almost cacophonous sounds with short intervals of harmonious music just to fuck with your mind and prove how easy it is to ingratiate people and sell them something which on the whole really shouldn't appeal to such a wide audience.

point, I listened to Drumsntuba for probly two months straight every night, I can understand were you are coming from

That reminds me:

Salvia... never mistakenly think it's a recreational drug.

I did it not having any idea what it was when I was younger, and having only had experience with pot, it completely blew me through the wall. It hits you like a freight train. I was stoned out of my head before I finished exhaling. I more or less lost complete touch with reality too. Surprisingly, I didn't have a bad experience; in fact I had quite an incredible experience, though I could never put into words what actually happened (because frankly, I don't even know).

I've done it a handful of times since, and though it's incredibly short, it's by far the most powerful drug experience I've had.

Correct on that one.
I don't consider a Salvia experience to be bad, per-se... Just so alien and intense and unrecognizable that it shakes you while you're still in the 5 minute realm of comprehending what just happened to you.

Here's a link to download DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Richard Strassman. GREAT book on the topic.
