That's a lot of beer though. Maybe you have low tolerance to weed, but high tolerance to beer in that case.

BoopieJones 02-17-2009 08:51 PM

I don't really know what qualifies as having high/low tolerance. I had the weirdest reaction to weed for quite some time. Like it did not affect me at all...I guess because I kept my guard way up. When I relax and smoke, I feel it much more.

All i know is when I mix the two...terrible consequences on my judgment...I can't do that...I made the biggest mistakes

Surell 02-17-2009 08:54 PM

That shit just sounds bad.

BoopieJones 02-17-2009 08:56 PM

Well its not good thats for sure.

debaserr 02-18-2009 03:00 AM

or maybe you were slow in learning that you need to INHALE

BoopieJones 02-18-2009 03:09 AM

I learned that pretty quickly.

unless you meant between drinks.

(You need to know a bit of my history - I had the reputation for being "bad with pot" after a mishap when I was drunk and high. So I quit smoking for 3 months or so and started again by being a sour puss about it and being a bitch. I was high though. I just didnt let it make me silly and happy. More like pissed off parinoid quiet, and in my head.)

(and by mishap I mean be completey effing retarded.)

Well, pot is unpredictable. It can make you relaxed and giggly, but it can also make you paranoid, scared and panicky.

I'm amazed by how little mention the latter gets. Having an awful experience on pot can be quite traumatic.

adidasss 02-19-2009 08:09 AM

Agreed, although really, I wouldn't consider bad trips on pot anything particularly traumatic. I also don't think it has much to do with pot, more with the mental state you find yourself in before smoking.

Guybrush 02-19-2009 08:21 AM

^What you're writing is by far most likely the usual case, but pot smoking can trigger lasting anxiety disorder in people who have bad experiences with the drug. I myself know two people whose lives were basically changed by this.

Quote:

A frequent negative side-effect of marijuana consumption is acute anxiety and paranoia. The user may interpret hostile reactions from others, with feelings of persecution common. There have been reported cases of anxiety and panic disorders arising from even one experience with the drug. This reaction has also been reported in research undertaken by the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
The rather short report I'm citing can be found here -> ADAVIC - Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria (Inc.)
