Victory!
Last night I must have made every tackle, played every ball and kicked every kick. I even felt knackered at the final whistle. A famous victory! |
lol.
just don't kick to victory in the final like you did last time, will you? makes for a boring game... |
Rugby?? For heaven's sake...
|
The French were a lot better than us, we were just lucky.

And it's not all about kicking. It's about defending solidly.
France failed to score a try. All their points were penalties. |
I'm talking about last time, with the johnny wilkinson scoring pretty much all of England's points in the entire world cup...
|
Jason Robinson ?
|
meh. all I ever remember robinson for doing is getting ankle tapped by stringer.
Twice. |
Allow me to refresh your memory then :D

Urban...what chance England getting revenge and turning over South Africa in the final? (assuming they beat Argentina)
|
Job to say , I thought England would be going home in the 2nd round.
Everybody is going on about South Africa stuffing England earlier in the tournament & last year , but it wasn't that long ago England were stuffing them , so I think it'll be a lot closer than people think. |
I have a tendency to jinx everyone I back on these boards...so I'm keeping shtumm about the Final. ;)
|
The accumulation of testosterone in this thread is giving me a hard on. :O
... Carry on chaps...<3 |
oh come on urban, all robinson did there was finish off a good move... all he had to do was run for the line, if anyone did well there it was De Lallio
|
Since when were we arguing the quality of the try?
|
Why has this thread not been closed yet:(
The All Blacks, deary me, 30 of the best players in the world and we don't have a first 15 that works well enough to brush off a couple of crap decisions. I was hoping Argentina would defy the odds and win. Now I want South Africa to win but the English are going to destroy the boks come scrum time. The boks have it on attack, but then England are better on defense I'd say. Looks to be a great contest. If England do win, will we have to wait another 4 years until we see them play well again?;) |
I have to be honest I thought your lot would wipe the floor at the tournament , what on earth happened?

Well the AB's were easily the most well conditioned...physically. Mentally they were not there. No where near hard enough. They had a rubbish pool and even worse is we don't have a "first 15". 30 odd players in the squad and no one knew who was going to be playing in what games, and who would be to their left and right. There were no well established combinations.
It's bloody awful and the problem stood out like dog's balls. But as crap as his rotation policy has turned out I think Graham Henry should now stay, provided he uses his 30-40 great players to mold a proper team out of them for 2011. I mean, for 2007 the policy could have worked, he just left it too long before playing his best side thoroughly. Haha and I was having a joke about England, I didn't know the full story I just knew some figures. I read they've only won 35% of their games over the last four years. The AB's won 88%. Those retirements and injuries are obviously a sizeable factor. |
The pressure is on the boks. We were not expected to be there. We have puffed and panted to the final. One genuinely good performance is due from us...On Saturday!
|
The team who makes the least mistakes will take the game.
England's defence looks solid and if Wilkinson kicks well, we're in with a real good chance. |
Victory for South Africa, lawl.
