College

I paid 32k to go to college...I hate it. There are no parties here, only nerds. All my professors say is "go read the book". I am paying for a peice of paper with mu effin name on it.

...and it still sucks...

Sorry to rub it in, but my uni is great. Plenty of nice people around, lot of work to do sure, but everything's very relaxed at the moment.

Beats the hell out of working for a living.

So you are going to school to party? Correct me if I am wrong but dont people usually go to, and pay for, school to learn and make something of themselves? Thats just me though. :thumb:

damn that's harsh, a friend of mine just left for toronto to go to school there, and he's paying about the same (canadian dollars though) His parents aren't paying anything, so he's had to apply for financial aid (hardly any help there) the rest is student loans and working it off, so he's really stressed out now. I lucked out with good teachers this year, but I'm getting my @ss kicked by all the work I have in art this year. I'm averaging about 3 hours of art a night, and thats not counting when I stay after school for an hour and a half 3 days a week. plus on top of that I have physics and social studdies (both pretty involved courses), and somehow getting 55 volunteer hours this year to graduate. I had to quit work this season, I need time to go up skiing on my own and actually get better, plus seeing my friends, but so far i'm managing pretty well. I'm so glad i'll be able to stay at home for school, all in all, tuition will be about $6,000 canadian a year.

ok. Thats good. You are using your college money the right way it seems like. Right on. How was I being harsh, BTW.

jibber 10-04-2004 03:53 PM

that was directed at thrice, i was saying that his situation is harsh.

You are wrong. and right. First you are right, i paid to learn, not for someone to tell me to go read a book. Second you are wrong, I definently love to party, but only on weekends!!! Im not gunna sit around and study all weekend, I have a life...You evidently havent made it to college, or else you would understand the concept of free time aside from educational activites.

I am 23. Yes I am in college but cant afford to go full time or to a university. I got my "party" days over with young ( too young actually) It was just a question. Simma down
