Media Studies Help Please !
I am currently studying Media at A-Level and for my 'Critical Research' module, i have chosen to pose the question:
'Are representations of women in advertising generally positive or negative? (in particular reference to Dove' I have chosen this question because i believe that our perception of beauty is greatly distorted by advertising. If anyone has any comments or suggestions on this topic, your help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has time to fill in the questionaire below, that would also be a great help. Sex: Age: What’s your favourite advert? Why? Are there any adverts you dislike? Why? What makes a successful advert? A) Good music B) Good-looking actors/actresses C) A good product D) Humour E) Someone famous in the advert Would you buy a beauty product simply because of the advert? Have you ever brought a beauty product because of an advert? If so, what was the product? How do you think women are represented in beauty product advertisements?
