Look, I dig freedom too. The problem is when you fetishize the word, and make it mean 'murika instead of civil liberties and autonomy. America doesn't have a monopoly on freedom, nor is it all that free compared to most first-world democracies -- by the way something I'd blame on neo-liberals like Reagan and Nixon and Bush.
