Look at the incarceration rate in America. Look at the incarceration rate in every single country in the rest of the world. Notice that every single one of those numbers is smaller than America's number. Including countries under authoritarian regimes ruled by despots.

Alright, well, that's something I agree with: your legal system needs a lot of reform. However, as it stands, you really can't claim to live in the freest country in any meaningful way other than bull**** nationalist hype, can you?

I've been this way since I was a kid. I love this country and would die for it. I dont like many of the things that our government does to us and others. Its not hype. I actually give a ****. Because it directly effects my life. Thats why I care.
