Need help
Had to reformat the hard drive this morning and get the thing up and running again.
All's well, *mouths* but I have no sound! The sound icon in the taskbar is missing. Good advice needed... |

Digital Output Only Button?
I have to remember to click that on When using the amp, but when I take the computer to somebody's house I have to have it off or the sound just won't work.

Nah...I was running a driver maintenance program and it crashed halfway through...irony ftw.
I don't have the installation cd, swim. Where's that? swim gave me an idea...I'm going to identify the soundcard issued with the pc and try and find a driver download off the net. |

It didn't do the trick, but it gave me an idea and went some way in helping me identify what it was I needed to look for.
I delved deep into the system files on the back of you're suggestion and found the setup exe. file for my sound drivers... ...voila. Nice one jackhammer. |
