They're still different.

Okay, but not really. They are both ridiculous if taken literally and have thousands of interpretations for each allegory and parable contained. And again half of the Torah is the OT Bible, word for word so I don't think it's fair to call one more valid then the other. I am slightly more inclined to believe in moggels and hogwartz then I am eternal happiness resting on your bacon consumption or rather you have a fillet-o-fish or a Big-Mac on a Friday in April.

Most reformed Jews don't even follow Kosher. Most of what you've heard is just famous Rabbi's interpetation of "though shall not boil a kid in it's mothers milk", or the like.

Your Ignorance and Arrogance on this subject are quite annoying.
I never disputed Reform Jews not subscribing to Kosher dietary restrictions. And you obviously know nothing of what the book contains let alone what the book says otherwise you'd know that Leviticus 11 says "For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth. For I am the Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. This is the law of the animals and the birds and every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth, to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten." Or more specifically Deuteronomy 8 "And the swine, because it divided the hoof, yet chews not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase." No rabbi translation needed. So you are 100% wrong no? |

Ok, I'm wrong. Although saying that you find my arrogance and ignorance annoying is completaly hypocritical. Think about that statement: "I find your ignorance annoying".

Not sure how that's hypocritical.
You are ignorant on the subject yet you make bold statements passed off with the confidence of fact. That's annoying. If you didn't know what the book said, just ask and someone here could likely tell you. Not knowing something is not a fault, refusing to learn it is. No offense and I'm sorry if my comments were rude. But I will not treat you a child no matter your age. |
