Look, if you were a Christian you would know how I feel. I am not going to go to hell if I masturbate, but I like to do what he says. I can't pay back what he has given me, but I feel the need to want to follow him. That is just me though.

i was a Christian, and i still hold many of their beliefs to be somewhat valid. however, the idea of one 'true' religion is comical. i am all for a personal relationship with the creator. just because some priest said children shouldn't masturbate (hoping they would release their sexual tension to him) doesnt mean you should follow his beliefs.

What if I don't release my sexual tension until I am married? I don't see a problem with that. And it has nothing to do with a priest telling me what to do. It has to do with being sexually immoral, which I try not to be.

Haven't you read The Divine Comedy? If you commit a sin, in this case "Lust," and you want penance, you will go to purgatory and be purged. For people who commit sins of lust, you will be purged by fire.

Of course, Hell wouldn't be too bad, you get to have fun flying around in a storm forever.

I don't believe Purgatory is real. I mean where exactly does it explain Purgatory in the Bible? Second of all it is by the grace of God that we are saved, not by how much work we have to do after we die.

And Hell would be terrible. The Bible describes Hell as total isolation from everything. Then you will just keep falling down for the rest of eternity, which at first you will be crying because you didn't choose God, but then the next thousand years you will be gnashing your teeth in anger at yourself. And all of this happens in one endless cycle.

Being in free-fall for eternity sounds like pretty good fun. You could bust all kinds of sky-diving moves and never have to worry about opening the parachute.

I,m an atheist, so I'm not going to heaven or Hell. I'm just going to die-simple as that. No more explanation is needed really.
