Then you're just changing your argument. Texas is not the only place with c0cks. It's a highly misunderstood and mysterious place with warlocks and such. You should see how *** (why is that word censored?) people are treated where I am now. It makes my heart frown.

How am I changing my argument? My argument was and is that Texas is a backward state full of trigger happy hillbillies. I don't think I ever said it's the only place in the world that's like that. In fact, you'll notice that I admitted that Croatia is probably worse in that respect. Only difference is that we are not the most developed country in the world, a country that should be leading with example...hence the higher expectations. You can't compare a middle eastern Islamic country with the United States with regards to human rights.

Well you're saying that Texas sucks (which I'm sure you've never been) for a problem that exists throughout the world. And the little hick towns in Texas that have those stupid views are simalar to a small, developing country. They are not the shining example of America or Texas. Texas is, atleast, developed. I'm thinking Croatia has been in development for about a thousand years. Shouldn't you be a little further ahead?

Basically, Texas > your country.

But let's take into consideration that we've been a free country for about 16 years and have gone through a devastating 4 year war, as opposed to the U.S. with about 250 years of freedom and capitalism...It's kinda sad that you haven't moved much further, despite your wealth and oil. :-/

Have not moved much further? In our countries some odd 250 years of freedom and capitalism we went from being a country that didn't exist to arguably the super power of the world. That has never occurred in that short of a duration in the history of time. Especially considering we were on a new land without any good trade neighbors. It is not to say we don't have more ground to cover... but give me a break, this country has done some unbelievable things.

ps - and our country has gone through multiple devistating wars during that time.

I meant human rights wise...I believe only China executes more people than Texas each year? Also, what was the last war actually fought on U.S. soil? The civil war some 150 years ago? Yeah, that's certainly comparable...

In any case, this topic is about Texas, which may or may not get an unfair bad rep. To be completely honest, I don't have a very high opinion of your country, save for the bigger cities, or just New York. The rest is pretty much hick-ville...:-/
